Northern Sound System

Expressions of Interest for Photo Club: an after-school photography club for young people aged 15-21.

Sessions will be facilitated by professional photographer and videographer Alexander Robertson.

Running during the school term, this club is open to young people between the ages of 15 - 21 to attend.  Participants will focus on developing technical skills, enhancing their creative eye, and learning the basics of shooting on phones and traditional cameras.

The club will offer students the chance to collaborate with other creative programs, including live music shoots, band portraits, and other photography sessions that highlight teamwork and real-world experiences.

At the end of each term, an art exhibition will showcase the students' work at Northern Sound System. 

The program's intention is to inspire youth to discover creativity in their everyday environments, capture personal stories through photography, and connect to both themselves and their community. The practical skills learned throughout the program will equip participants with valuable tools for future endeavors, whether they pursue photography as a hobby or a career.
