Northern Sound System

The Northern Sound System’s artist development program—N1Records—provides support to original songwriters who are creating music for release. Four artists are selected annually to receive nine-month project support and up to $2,000 project funding to help achieve their next career goal.

N1 has been lucky to support over 50 artists in eight years including George Alice, Tkay Maidza, MANE, Pinkish Blu, TOWNS, Rory Adams, Glowing, Dec, Damon Sparkes and Charli Umami.

Currently N1Records is in hibernation as we review the program and how it can best serve artists in this quickly evolving music industry.
