Low Stakes is an events training program at NSS. A team of young people aged 14-17 will participate in a 5-week course, learning the skills needed for a variety of roles in the music events industry. They will then get to practise and develop these skills through putting on a series of ‘low stakes’ all-ages gigs at Northern Sound System, with future opportunities to volunteer at other NSS events. Roles that the young people explore include stage management, audio and lighting, social media and marketing, artist liaising and venue management.
